Little Rock Shops

Welcome to the inaugural post of Little Rock Shops! I actually made the self imposed deadline and got my homework done. =)  In my true Gemini nature of having two distinct personalities, in addition to starting this blog about shopping and fashion, I am in my 3^rd quarter of graduate school. I am getting my Master’s in Information Technology specializing in Health Information Management. So if I make reference to homework you will know what I am talking about.

My main purpose in starting this blog is that no one is doing so and the shopping scene in Little Rock has changed so much in the last ten years that it is amazing. Another purpose for starting Little Rock Shops is that Little Rock is becoming more of a tourist destination with the addition of the Clinton Library and the new world headquarters of Heifer International. I hope that this blog can be a source of shopping information for the millions of tourists who visit Little Rock annually.

This blog will be evolving over time with the addition of the shopping centers and store in Little Rock with an integrated map for directions. I am still forming a game plan for shopping the city and right now I think it will be done by the area of town (ie WLR, Midtown, Downtown, and Southwest).

As you will notice to your right there is an Event Calendar that shows shopping related and/or philanthropic events that are occurring in Little Rock within the next 15 to 20 days. If you have an event that you would like to have considered for the calendar please go to the “navigation” drop down box at the top of the page and go to contact form, then fill out the contact form with the information and submit it.

Below the Calendar is a feed from my twitter account @LRShops. I will be tweeting while I shop and may even invite followers to a tweet-up while I am out and about. Since I can’t shop EVERY day, I will also share with you shopping tips for the upcoming holidays and previews of resort and Spring fashions for women. From time to time I will also have guest bloggers to write about their aspect of shopping expertise or favorite store.

I do promise to give you my honest opinion about store presentation, products, and customer service whether it is good or bad. I have favorite shopping spots, as I am sure you do too, so if I go on and on about one store or one product just leave me a comment and tell me to quit it =).
